❗ GOP Senate Candidate Faces SHOCKING New Poll

A new poll suggests Maine's 2026 Senate race may hinge on one key factor — which Democrat ends up on the ballot.

According to Quantus Insights, Democratic candidate Graham Platner is showing the strongest early numbers against Republican Sen. Susan Collins, outperforming Democratic Gov. Janet Mills in a potential general election matchup.

In a hypothetical race between Collins and Mills, the contest appears extremely tight. Collins receives 44.6% of the vote compared with 43.0% for Mills, while 5.6% of voters support third-party candidates and another 5.6% remain undecided.

But the picture shifts when Platner enters the matchup.

In a head-to-head race with Collins, Platner leads with 48.6% support compared with Collins' 41.8%, giving the Democratic candidate an early advantage of nearly seven points.

With the Democratic primary still developing — and nearly one in five voters undecided — the numbers suggest Maine's next Senate race could take on a very different dynamic depending on who ultimately secures the nomination.
