Hey, it’s Brian,
You can do all the squats, lunges and deadlifts you want...
But if your glutes aren't doing their share of the work, you might not be getting nearly as much out of those exercises as you think.
I see this a lot.
Someone tells me they've been training their glutes for months, but they're still not seeing much progress. Or they finish a lower-body workout and feel everything in their quads and hamstrings instead.
Sound familiar?
Well, here's something worth understanding...
Just because you're doing a glute exercise doesn't necessarily mean your glutes are doing most of the work.
Your body is pretty good at compensating. If your hips aren't moving well or your glutes aren't engaging effectively, other muscles can start picking up the slack.
And spending hours sitting every day certainly doesn't help.
That's why I'm such a big fan of glute activation exercises before jumping into a lower-body workout.
I put together a quick 5-minute routine with 5 movements designed to help wake up those glutes and get them working.

Inside, I'll show you the exercises, how to perform them, and why strengthening your glutes involves more than just adding another set of squats.
Give it a try before your next leg day.
You might be surprised by how much difference a little preparation can make.
