Hi Love,
Tea has always been how I understand love. Not the grand kind, but the quiet devotion in daily gestures. A warm cup placed in someone’s hands. A pause offered without asking. A rhythm that says, I see you.
When I think of mothers, I think of this kind of love. The invisible kind that shapes our lives.
My mother, Pam, taught me this in ways I am still unfolding. Her favorite tea is Bohemian Breakfast, strong and steady, like her presence.
As a child, I was always making “tea potions,” gathering flowers and herbs with complete certainty in their magic. My mom was my patient taste tester. What we didn’t realize then was that she’s allergic to roses, strawberries, and chamomile, the very ingredients I used most. She would sip with love, then quietly break out in hives as I explained my creations.
Over time, we learned what truly supported her body. She is a Pisces, and I was always trying to create something that felt like her essence.
The Pisces Astrology Tea became that expression. Blueberry cream, magnolia, jasmine oolong. Soft, intuitive, and finally, something she could enjoy with ease.
She still reaches for Bohemian Breakfast. But the Pisces blend feels like recognition. Like being seen, in the language of tea.
This is what mothers are to me. The ones who receive our becoming, even when it’s messy. The ones who let love be practiced in real time.
With Tea & Love, Zhena
