The urge to purge is real (and I'm not apologizing for it.) Every March, something in me just goes cleaning crazy. The pantry? Done. Garage? Done. Billy's closet is next… he's been warned. :) But between dragging bags to the trash, I've been thinking – We put so much effort into cleaning the things we can see… But what about the stuff we can't see? Like what's happening inside your gut right now. Winter is genuinely hard on it, with less movement, heavier foods, and more time indoors. But unlike your garage, you can't just peek inside to see what needs cleaning. Instead, your gut talks to you in other ways: Fatigue. Skin flare-ups. Brain fog. The thing is, most people never connect those signals back to their gut. We've all been conditioned to think gut health is just about digestion! So how do you actually know when your gut needs some TLC? | | The number I can't wait to see every year I take a biological age test every spring. It shows me what's actually happening inside. Last year, the results came back 16.1 years younger than my calendar age. (And no, I am not telling you what that age is. A woman is entitled to some secrets. 😂) I credit a lot of things. But honestly? The spores I've taken each morning for years… I think they're behind more of this than I can even measure. This year's test is coming up, and I am genuinely excited. (I'll keep you posted.) | | Lifting for something bigger than myself I'm a long time power walker, but now I'm lifting weights too. I won't pretend I love it, but I do have a GREAT reason for weight training that makes every rep worth it. Both of our daughters are pregnant. At the same time!! (Billy and I are still pinching ourselves.) I already have one grandchild who runs me ragged in the best possible way… Two more are coming… And nobody – NOBODY – is going to tell me I can't scoop all three of them up whenever I want. So I lift. Every week. No complaints. (Okay, maybe a few complaints. But only in my head.) I'm still figuring out what works for me, which is why I want to ask you something: If you've found an exercise that finally made you feel strong, or something that's kept you consistent when motivation ran out... Will you hit reply and tell me? I love putting questions like this to the Just Thrive tribe because you give the best answers.
