The U.S.S. Gerald R Ford and its Carrier Strike Group are steaming toward Israel at startling speed and may yet be joined by the Nimitz-Class U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower along with her Strike Group in a massive show of military force in the Near East seemingly intended to warn off potential interference from other nations. However, with new reports of Hezbollah attackers entering Northern Israel from Lebanon, the show of force from the tottering Biden administration may have been for naught. Similarly, reports have arisen Wednesday suggesting that the U.S. Army Delta Force and Navy SEAL Team Six may participate in exfiltrating American hostages from Hamas-controlled Gaza. But typically, standard operating procedure is that we would learn of such operations, long after their completion. Why are we hearing about this in the news? So much of what is going on in Israel and the Gaza strip, and moreover the U.S. response led by the octagenarian President Joe Biden, bear the look of theatrics for the public and media's benefit rather than good military strategy or sound foreign policy. It's almost as if we're seeing a poorly played game of chess but with human lives at stake. But one thing is for certain: our nation has never needed a return to solid, responsible, courageous, America-First leadership than it does now. - Trending Politics Email Newsletter Editor, Matt Holloway |
