Tuesday, October 24, 2023 | | Fellow Patriot, As Tuesday unfolds we expect to see another series of floor votes in the U.S. House of Representatives as House Majority Whip Rep. Thomas Emmer (R-MN) took the nomination in the GOP conference this morning. With six other potential competitors including returning candidates Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) and relative newcomers like Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), it's hard to say whether Emmer will succeed in taking the Speaker's gavel. In other news, the situation in Israel has continued to deteriorate as tensions rise between the U.S. and Iran following a series of attacks against U.S. military bases in Syria and Iraq that were publicly linked by the Pentagon to Tehran. Now, let's get into it... | | Six "Impossible" Things Before Breakfast | | "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." - Lewis Carroll, Through The Looking Glass In order to wade through the tumultuous waters of news and politics in 2023, it's time for all of us to start considering things long thought impossible, or else we're going to be blindsided. In the follow-up investigations of September 11th, the 9/11 Commission report said "the most important failure was one of imagination," this sentiment was echoed by analysts attempting to explain the Oct. 7th attack on Israel. So let's imagine some 'impossible things' now, so that we may consider them and be prepared for their newfound possibility. - Former President Donald J. Trump could conceivably be arrested and imprisoned as part of the latest witch hunt against him. (We already know they will stop at NOTHING to put him behind bars)
- In his New York case, Trump has already been fined $5,000 for violating a gag order. The judge also indicated he could jail Trump for continued instances of contempt.
- With now two co-defendants in his Georgia case 'flipping' to secure plea deals, it is conceivable that Trump could be convicted in that state. (That's not to say he is actually guilty, but it stands to reason that he could be convicted and need to appeal.)
- Either way we have to consider: What does the prospect of Trump being under House arrest or otherwise incarcerated mean for the 2024 election?
- In the near future, the U.S. could be embroiled in the Israel-Palestine war if drawn in by external actors such as Iran or Lebanon.
- Given President Joe Biden's catastrophic military failure in Afghanistan: How does this bode for American troops?
- Could or Would China take advantage of the situation and invade Taiwan while the U.S. is otherwise engaged in the Middle East?
- What are the long-term consequences of China then holding at least a temporary effective monopoly on microchip production?
- If U.S. & E.U. aid and materials are drawn away, Russia could conceivably defeat Ukraine.
- If Ukraine were on the verge of defeat, would NATO intervene drawing us into yet another conflict?
- Finally, as we teeter on the edge of truly apocalyptic inflation, what would any of these scenarios or any grouping of them do to the already limping economy?
To pull out another quote oft' referred to by Tim Pool, as Capt. Barbossa said in 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' "You better start believin' in ghost stories Ms. Turner. You're in one." In order for us to even begin to be prepared for the serious troubles that the Biden-Harris regime and the political law-fare against Trump have wrought, we have to begin to acknowledge their possibility, while at the same time fighting to prevent them. - Trending Politics Email Newsletter Editor, Matt Holloway | | WATCH: Ilhan Omar LOSES IT When Asked About Justice For Israeli Victims | | Members of the controversial congressional "Squad" are continuing to face tough questions over their support for Hamas, and the pressure finally became too much for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MI) who launched into an out-of-control diatribe against a reporter during a recent press conference. After Rep. Pressley opened it up for questions, an intrepid female reporter can be heard off-screen asking the congresswomen why they support a "double standard" in the war. "Your colleague Ritchie Torres (D-NY) has said calling for a ceasefire is a dangerous double standard that the U.S. wouldn't hold themselves to… If this attack happened in America, would you be calling for a ceasefire?" she asked. Rep. Pressley attempted to deflect the line of questioning with a vague platitude, saying, "Vengeance is not a foreign policy doctrine. We are here to save lives." Undeterred, the reporter asked the Squad members why they "don't want Israelis to go after terrorists that burned, tortured, killed their babies and children, and still have them hostage." Rep. Omar jumped out from behind her to launch a personal diatribe against the reporter who just days ago chased her through a congressional hallway with similar questions. "How many more killings is enough for you?" Omar shouted. "Is it a thousand more? Two thousand more? Three thousand? How many more Palestinians would make you happy if they died? Would you be fine if all of the people of Gaza were gone?" "Would that make you happy? Would that be the thing that makes you proud?" she added before storming off. - Excerpts from Trending Politics News, Mark Steffen [FULL STORY]
