A tiny body structure may be the key to
helping unlock your natural energy —
yet most people don't even know it exists.

Dear fatigued friend,

Do you feel worn out much of the time, like your batteries are drained?

When you think about it, do you lack the stamina you used to have?

And while your morning coffee might perk you up for a few hours, do you tend to "hit the wall" by afternoon, ready for a nap?

Well, if you can relate to this, you're not alone.

Feeling chronically pooped out is not unusual for baby boomers and older adults.

In Fact, Fatigue Is the
Most Common Complaint Heard
by Doctors in Daily Practice

Feeling tired and low on energy is such a common concern, most general practitioners and internists hear it from patients every single day.

Especially from the older population.

According to a study in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, almost one-third of adults age 51 and older say they suffer from fatigue.

Unfortunately, you may have heard that fatigue and lack of energy are just a natural consequence of growing older.

Perhaps your doctor even told you to accept it as a fact of life — and learn to live with it.

Well, I'm here to tell you this is complete hogwash.

Let me explain . . .

Don't Be Forced to Live
With Frequent Fatigue

No matter how old you are now, you don't have to accept a fatigued state as a permanent consequence of growing older.

You do NOT have to live with it . . .

Not when there's a natural way to help slow down this decline in energy production — and help maintain your physical and mental edge.

About Dr. Erika Schwartz

Erika Schwartz, M.D., is a leading national expert in healthy aging, disease prevention, and bioidentical hormone therapies. Dr. Schwartz has written four best-selling books, testified before Congress, hosted her own PBS special, and is a frequent guest on network TV shows.

I'm sure you know that when your energy levels soar, you've got plenty of stamina to live a fuller, more active and vibrant life.

That's what I want for you — starting today . . .

Let me back up for a second and introduce myself.

I'm Erika Schwartz, M.D.

My specialty is anti-aging medicine.

And I've studied and written about this energy crisis affecting middle-aged and older folks for over two decades.

In fact, about 20 years ago I wrote a popular book called Natural Energy.

With the simple program I created, I've been able to help thousands of fatigued folks reverse their energy crisis simply, safely, and effectively.

So please keep reading . . .

Because I'm happy to report that modern science continues to expand upon what I've been saying for years.

Before we get to the solution to low energy, however, it's important to understand where energy really comes from.

What Nobody Told You About Energy

When your doctor tells you that a lack of energy is a natural consequence of growing older, that part is true.

By the time you hit your fourth decade of life, your body does suffer a gradual decline in its ability to produce energy.

This decline in energy production affects how you look . . . how you feel . . . how you think . . . how you play . . . how you function in the bedroom . . . and even how you age.

Everything you do — from breathing to keeping up with the grandkids to solving a crossword puzzle — requires energy.

Fatigue sounds like a simple complaint.

However, a variety of physical and emotional health concerns can also leave you feeling washed out.

So please note: If you suffer from significant or lasting exhaustion, make sure you consult with your personal physician.

That's because your body is actually a walking, talking power plant.

The way I view it, your most important system is not your circulatory system or your immune system — or even your brain and nervous system.

The master system that produces the power necessary to run all your body's machinery is your energy system.

So when you wake up feeling depleted and drained, it means your cells are struggling to produce the energy you need to sustain your body and mind.

With these poor overworked cells, you may feel bone-tired or brain-tired. Over time, you sense your youthful zest just slipping away.

Fortunately, this is not a hopeless situation. That's because your body has already provided a solution.

Nature's Secret Power Source for Energy

It's not a secret to researchers anymore, but most of the public has been kept in the dark . . .

Nature, in its infinite wisdom, gave you billions of microscopic cellular energy generators.

They're called your mitochondria.

Remember back to high school biology class. That's when you learned about cells — and their internal structures known as organelles.

Perhaps your teacher told you back then that the organelles called mitochondria are the "powerhouses" of cells.

That's true.

Mitochondria produce a substance called adenosine triphosphate (ATP for short). And ATP is the fuel that drives your body and all its biological functions.

You find mitochondria in nearly all body cells.

As you might expect, mitochondria are most highly concentrated in body organs that work the hardest. Of course, these include your heart and brain.

Each one of your heart cells, for example, contains up to 5,000 mitochondria.

And when you're young, your mitochondria produce enough energy to keep you revved up and ready for action.

Unfortunately, with age, mitochondria produce less and less ATP. They suffer wear and tear that leads to gradual deterioration.

The result is a sluggish energy-producing system.

Your body will usually give you some clues about this altered mitochondrial function.

Warning Signs Your
Mitochondria Need TLC

Here are 8 warning signs that your mitochondria could use some special attention:

Your brain says "go" but your body is often too tired to budge (and an underlying medical reason has been ruled out)

You wake up tired and unrefreshed

You suffer from an afternoon slump or want to take a nap

You have difficulty concentrating or have a foggy-brain feeling

You overeat (especially sugar), hoping for a quick energy pick-me-up

You feel moody or stressed out

You have issues with poor sleep

Your sex life is stuck in low gear

If any of these complaints sound familiar to you, listen up . . .

Because fortunately, Mother Nature has also provided us with some energizing nutrients to bolster our mitochondria and our energy system.

Energy Amplifier #1: Nature's Answer to Maintaining Energy Levels Starts With Carnitine — a Simple Amino Acid

For over 20 years, I have been recommending a nutrient called L-carnitine to my fatigued patients.

Carnitine is an amino acid (amino acids are the building blocks of protein).

Our bodies produce about 25% of the carnitine we need. The rest must be obtained through supplementation and food.

Carnitine performs many jobs in the body, including vital functions supporting healthy energy and metabolism:

Carnitine works as a mitochondrial fat burner. It transports fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane into the mitochondria so they can be oxidized — or "burned" — to produce energy.

Carnitine helps remove metabolic waste from the mitochondria that is created during energy production.

Carnitine also supports healthy mitochondrial membrane function related to the aging process.

Emerging research suggests carnitine may play a positive role in cognitive functioning.

The brain, heart, and kidneys are the most active and mitochondria-rich organs of the body and produce the most carnitine.

Unfortunately, research indicates that the concentration of carnitine declines with age, reducing the integrity of the mitochondrial membrane.

And not only that . . .

Our sedentary lifestyle also contributes to the decline in carnitine production since exercise boosts the production of carnitine.

That's why I recommend it in supplement form, specifically as L-carnitine.

There's a downside to carnitine, however.

Carnitine slightly increases the level of oxidative stress in cells, making them more vulnerable to free radical attack.

Whenever you rev up the metabolic rate (even with exercise), you are utilizing more oxygen. This increases your exposure to free radicals.

That's why I've always recommended combining carnitine with CoQ10, a potent antioxidant that helps moderate free radical damage.

Energy Amplifier #2: Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) Is the Perfect Energizing Complement to Carnitine

CoQ10 is the perfect partner for carnitine. Both are essential to the production of energy in the body.

Like carnitine, CoQ10 is produced by the body.

And whereas carnitine carries free fatty acids into the mitochondria to make energy, CoQ10 is involved in the actual production of energy inside the mitochondria.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is also a naturally occurring antioxidant that promotes cellular health. With its antioxidant capabilities, CoQ10 helps scavenge cell-damaging free radicals.

As with carnitine, body levels of CoQ10 are highest in organs with high rates of metabolism, such as the heart and brain.

However, with aging, CoQ10 levels decline.

In fact, declining cellular energy production is a hallmark of the aging process, with aging individuals found to have 57% less CoQ10 on average compared to young adults.

Of course, in addition to supplementing with CoQ10, it's important to eat a diet rich in natural antioxidants, including plenty of vegetables and fruits.

For decades, I've recommended L-carnitine and CoQ10 to my fatigued patients. In fact, I refer to this duo as "The Energy Pack."

More recently, I've come upon two other nutrients I believe are very beneficial to promote a healthy energy system. I'll tell you more about them in a moment.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a single supplement containing all four of these nutrients that satisfied my requirements.

And I know many folks can't afford to buy multiple products — or even remember to take them consistently.

That's why I decided to create the advanced energy support formula ENERGIS.

Take Control — Flood Your Cells
With Energy-Bolstering Nutrients

My exclusive ENERGIS formula provides you with a simple, easy way to support and bolster your body's optimal energy production and metabolism.

This comprehensive blend of hand-picked nutrients contains not one or two, but four ingredients — all with the following benefits in mind:

ENERGIS BENEFITS

Supports Overall Energy Production in the Body

Supports Cellular Energy Production

Helps Support a Healthy Metabolism

Supports Antioxidant Activity

Maintains Cellular Membrane Integrity

Helps Reduce Oxidative Stress

In addition to L-carnitine and CoQ10, I added two more beneficial ingredients to the ENERGIS formula.

Energy Amplifier #3: Green Tea Leaf Extract Fights Back Against Free Radicals

As you've already seen, the process of energy production also leads to the production of cell-damaging free radicals.

So to ensure a plentiful supply of antioxidants, you'll also find green tea leaf extract in ENERGIS.

Green tea leaf extract from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant contains high levels of polyphenol antioxidants.

Antioxidants, including those in green tea, can help cell membranes and DNA ward off free radical damage. They also support enzyme systems participating in cellular metabolism.

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the most studied polyphenol component in green tea. Studies show EGCG offers support for healthy metabolic functioning.

Higher consumption of green tea has also been positively associated with cognitive function.

And I didn't stop there . . . I added one more ingredient.

Energy Amplifier #4: Vitamin B12 Supports Healthful Energy Levels

Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin, is one of eight B vitamins.

The B vitamins, commonly known as "energy vitamins," all help your body convert food into the fuel you need to produce energy.

Vitamin B12 plays a dominant role in carbohydrate metabolism. It's also important in maintaining healthy nerve cells and making red blood cells.

B vitamins are water-soluble, meaning your body does not store them.

According to the NHANES government survey, up to 38% of Americans demonstrate low B12 status. This is most pronounced in older adults.

One reason for inadequate levels of vitamin B12 becoming more common with age is a reduced ability to absorb dietary nutrients.

Also, since B12 is found naturally only in animal foods, vegetarians may be low in B12. Those who have had weight loss surgery are also at risk for impaired vitamin B12 status.

Signs of low B12 status include fatigue, problems concentrating, confusion, and mood changes.

I think you can see by now why I'm so confident in the benefits of ENERGIS.
