Dear One,
I'm writing you a personal note today, and sometimes I have so much to share I don't know where to start. My editor used to say, "if you have writers block, just write one true sentence and see what happens." That true sentence for me today is that I am so grateful for you that it brings joy to my heart and a huge smile to my face.
The fact that you opened this email, that you have invited us into your life and that we get to communicate with you here is a miracle in itself. You have so much going on in your life, and I want you to know how much it means to me and our company that you share your moments with us and our teas.
This has been a big year of change for a lot of us and we need to keep our physical, mental and emotional health in balance and nourished. I have been working all year with my beloved team to ensure the tools of mindfulness and love are at your fingertips. I made a matcha-infused herbal salt so we can add polyphenols, antioxidants and flavor to our cooking. We made a smoky Lapsang Souchong (pine-smoked tea) salt with mushrooms too. These are meant to bring your cooking to life while feeding your body savory nourishment.
What feeds my soul is scent. I started out thinking I'd be a perfumer but soon found my love for tea. This year I've returned to my adoration of natural scent for aromatherapeutic healing with our new Planetary Perfumes based on aligning the planets with each day of the week and their respective plant medicine. This is meant to bring you daily ritual and nourishment—along with protective energy baths to match.
Our essential oil perfumes are pure, because commercial perfumes have endocrine disruptors in them. I wanted to ensure we have only the purest plant essences to anoint your precious body with and balance your moods.
The Elemental Alchemy teas and perfumes are also making my heart happy—so far Earth and Air are out and Water is shipping to members of the Monthly Magic Club now. Earth has been so healing for me as I've been running hard this year and need to remember my roots are supported. And Air is a lung tonic that helps breathing and I've been using it to heal. Grief is held in the lungs, so if you are grieving it's a powerful tea for supporting you through.
And we all grieve—each day is a lifetime in a way. Each day and moment is precious. If we can remember to make a cup of tea in silence and reverence, we expand time. If we can remember to honor and cherish our bodies with a sacred bath or moment of anointing, it repairs us. If we can remember to sprinkle healing herbs and teas into our meals, we add sparkle and magic to our food. It's all about honoring the details of our lives with reverence in order to bring our body-minds-souls into balance.
I plan to continue to bring you the tools of the sacred so you can fill your cup daily. In the moments when you're asked to rush more, I hope you can take a breath and give yourself a magic moment. I am here to help you remember the miracle of your moments, and thus remember that you are the magic you seek—your acknowledgment of that through honoring yourself with Magic Hour products is why I feel so grateful today—I get to be your support and you get to support the world by remembering who you really are. Who you are is pure magic, my hope is that all I do helps you remember that truth.
